Support Telluride Power: Join the Hydrogen Co-op

As the big picture for the Telluride Power infrastructure starts to gel, we're gearing up to build a pilot project fueler here in town and another shortly after in Montrose, and to create the 3 to 6 trucks that the system will support. This pilot project is necessary to build our knowledge of the performance of the converted trucks in the conditions of the Telluride region. Having tested the prototype on lower Black Bear Pass road in August 2004 and proven it's performance to over 13,000 feet above sea level on Imogene Pass, we are confident in hydrogen's ability to operate anywhere in the lower 48 states.

You don't need to live close to our operations now, either. When you join the co-op you lend credence to our expansion plans and help us decide where to go next. And regardless of the level to which you can afford to join now, you'll be gaining "conversion points" toward the purchase of your first hydrogen fueled vehicle. If it's twenty years from now, you could be getting a great deal on a fuel cell sports car!

So, now's the chance to take part in the birth of the World's First Hydrogen Infrastructure by monetarily supporting the efforts of Telluride Power. Although you may not be able to afford a vehicle conversion now, by joining the hydrogen coop you demonstrate interest in our activities and begin building "points" toward your own clean-fuel future.

Currently there are several levels of participation available:

Supporting members $100/year
Contributing members $350/year

These memberships support the development of the infrastructure and accrue conversion points for a reduced price on the member's vehicle conversion, available by late 2005. In the meantime, these members will receive a bi-monthly email update on the progress of the company and the coop and also a "My other car burns Hydrogen" bumper sticker.

Early Adopter $10,000 first year, quarterly options thereafter
beginning with vehicle availability mid August 2005

These supporters take part in a fractional lease program, to help create the pilot project. These members can reserve a "group" truck using an online schedule agent. There will only be either 6 or 9 drivers total depending on the rapidness of interest, and these supporters will receive deep discounts on a personal conversion in the future. These members can expect to have use of a vehicle for three days each month for each $10,000 contributed annually, plus 3 floating days each year. As this is the pilot project for a system filled with unknowns, there will be many specifics to iron out during the introduction. Please contact me to discuss joining in this highly supportive manner. Oh yeah, you can have as many bumper stickers as you want.

Benefactor $2500 - $6000/year

The support of a benefactor is a great help in the effort to build this system. On top of all the engineering and design costs involved in building the first of anything, leading the world in the placement of a hydrogen infrastructure has quite a few of its own headaches. Benefactors will be able to drive a hydrogen car on a standby basis if one hasn't been reserved for the day, up to two days a month but very dependent on how many folks join the co-op in this manner. Yes, you can have a bumpersticker, maybe even a couple!
